ST. MAARTEN GOLF ASSOCIATION

Chris Marshall, Trip Gage and Vivic Sabnani took top honors during a three-person team scramble at the Mullet Bay Golf Course.

The event organized by the St. Maarten Golf Association (SMGA) drew 12 teams of 3 golfers to the course.
 

A new format was devised in that whichever player’s ball was chosen was not allowed to play the next shot. This scramble is called “step away “and proved to be very challenging. Everyone agreed that it was exciting and made for some interesting choices of player shots. Eventually the winners shot a stunning 64 stroke net score. Runner’s up were the team comprised
of  Jacob Streefkerk, Arjen Vliegen and Tim Ahlip with a score of 66 net. In third place came the team of Ryan Hope-Ross, Florentin Paanakker and Pieter Snijder with a net score of 72.
 

SMGA has a monthly tournament where all are welcome.
